Lewis “Pete” Acors, 62 Of Dillwyn Dies January 7

DILLWYN, Jan. 13 – Lewis Derwood “Pete” Acors, 62, of Dillwyn, and formerly of Victoria, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009. He was a retired Clerk for the State A.B.C.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Mary Ashworth Tharpe.

He is survived by his two sons and their wives, Chad and Anessa Acors of Victoria and Timmy and Leilani Acors of Amelia; two grandchildren, Aloha Acors and Mahe Wilson of Amelia; longtime devoted partner, Curtis Toney; father, Derwood Acors; brother, Randy Tharpe; sister, Linda Verser and husband, Harmon; step-father, E.R Tharpe; dear friend Edith Glidewell; other relatives and many close friends.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 15, at the VFW Hall in Victoria from 6-8 p.m.
