Funeral Service For Warren L. Dungee Held December 19

PROSPECT, Dec. 29 – On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, Warren Leon Dungee departed this life at his home in Prospect. He was born October 1, 1941 in Prince Edward County to the late McKinley Dungee and Sadie Lindsey.
At an early age, he was baptized and joined the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. He attended R.R. Moton High School and later moved to New Jersey where he worked at the Steel Drum Company. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting.
In 1961, Mr. Dungee joined into holy matrimony with Ruby Lyle and to this union four children were born: Janice Marshall (Charles), Angela Farley (Dennis), Sherry Brathwaite (Collin) and Warren Jr. who preceded him in death. He also leaves to cherish his memories, Larry and Steve; five grandchildren, Candice, Victoria, Collin, Marcus and Daniel; a brother, Samuel Dungee (Corinne); four sisters, Sadie Harley (Frank), Evelyn Greene, Dollie Bailey, all of New Jersey, and Cula Berryman of Pamplin; and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ten siblings preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held December 19 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, Prospect, with Pastor Wyatt Vaughan Jr., Eulogist.
Carl U. Eggleston Funeral Establishment, Farmville, served the family.
