'David' Cobb, 68 of Buckingham Dies Tuesday

BUCKINGHAM, March 25 -Davidson Haynesworth (David) Cobb, 68, of Buckingham, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 27, 1935 in Buckingham County, he was the son of the late Henry Good-win Cobb and Pauline Davidson Cobb. He was the widower of Charlotte Wright Cobb.
Mr. Cobb served in the U.S. Army, was a member of Black Rock Hunt Club and a retired employee of B & W. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his son, Davidson Haynesworth Cobb, Jr. and wife. Ginger Dunkum Cobb; two grandchildren, William David Cobb and Rebecca Anne Cobb all of Buckingham; two brothers, John Henry Cobb and Eugene Cobb; two sisters, Evaleen C. Bryant and Elizabeth C. Culler and a special and devoted friend, Jo Ann Shepherd. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Edward and Lawrence Goodwin Cobb and a sister, Virginia Stout.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in Buckingham Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dlllwyn.
