MAY 6 – Conis Chadwick Gable, 58 of Farmville passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 at his residence. He was born March 25, 1950 in Crewe, the son of Bobbie Moore Gable and the late Conis Bennett Gable. He loved his early years, growing up in his hometown of Crewe.

Mr. Gable was the husband of Cyndi Potts Gable and they were married for over thirty years. Conis worked as an auto body repair technician and an auto painter many years with Fourth Street Motor Co. Conis had many joys in his life, his love of modified racing; he loved going on vacations with family and friends at the beach; he loved bringing a smile to other people through laughter and his great sense of humor; he was known very much for his quick wit and he and Cyndi loved antiquing on the weekends together.

He is survived by his mother, his wife, his son, Chadwick Aaron Gable of Farmville; brother, Larry Bennett Gable of Chester; niece and nephew, Carrie Dickerson of Crewe and Christopher Armistead of Prospect. He was preceded in death by his father, Conis Bennett Gable.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 8, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in the Crewe Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
