CUMBERLAND, March 25 – Ray Watson, 85, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his home. He was the widower of Stella Mae Seal Watson.

Mr. Watson was born in Sevier County, TN, March 22, 1925, to the late Ashley and Grace Ownby Watson. He was a farmer, retired Commissioner of the Revenue, former member of the Board of Supervisors for Cumberland County and a US Army veteran of WWII.

Survivors include his sons, Larry Ray Watson (Annette), Joel Ashley Watson (Marlene), and David Kevin Watson, and daughter, Jane Watson-Grey all of Cumberland; grandchildren, Lindsey Renee Watson, Kirbie Watson Lipscomb (Robert), Jordan David Watson (Miranda), Stella Dora Watson, Christopher John Norris, Dustin Walter Watson-Grey and Hayley Elizabeth Grey.

Funeral services were held March 25 at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Cumberland. Interment followed in the Watson Family Cemetery with military honors.
