AMELIA, September 23 — Charles Enoch “Buster” Dodson, 92, of Amelia, passed from this life on Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born to John Egbert and Nonnie Whittington Dodson on August15, 1922 in Amelia.
Mr. Dodson proudly served his country throughout World War II in the 3rd Battalion of the 394th Infantry Regiment. After the war, he was a dairy farmer for over 50 years. He was an Elder, Deacon, Treasurer and Sunday school teacher at Mattoax Presbyterian Church. Mr. Dodson served on the Piedmont Planning Commission, Amelia Board of Supervisors, and the Soil and Water Conservation Board.
