MEHERRIN, July 17 — Floyd Jackson Bailey Jr., 89, of Meherrin, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014. He was born in Lunenburg County to the late Floyd Sr. and Sadie Bailey on February 15, 1925.
Mr. Bailey served on the Virginia State Police as an officer for eight years and the Town of Farmville Police Department as an officer and investigator for 22 years before retiring in 1991. He served as president of the Piedmont Law Enforcement Association for one year. Thursday, July 17, 2014
