Falcons Excel In Friday Co-Ed Swim Meet

During the meet, Fuqua's Thomas Watson led the male swimmers by placing first in the Men 50 Free, first in the Men 100 Back, and third in the Men 200 Free Relay category. Carson Johnson took third place in the Men 100 Free and third in the Men 200 Free Relay (along with Brandon Trombley and Mike Liu), while Andrew Horton placed third in the Men 100 Back category.

FARMVILLE — The Goochand High School Bulldogs varsity girls basketball team was no match for the Prince Edward County High School Eagles on Friday, December 12, as PECHS took a 42-24 victory at home.

RICHMOND — Senior quarterback Nash Nance (Calhoun, GA/Tennessee) was named the winner of the Willie Lanier Award on Wednesday, December 10, which is given to the top player in Division II, III and NAIA in the state by the Touchdown Club of Richmond.

Knights Fall To Statesmen, 70-60
BUCKINGHAM — Although they gave their fans an exciting performance on their home court, the Buckingham County High School varsity boys basketball team fell 70-60 to the Randolph-Henry High School Statesmen on Tuesday, December 9. With the loss, the Knights drop to 0-1 in their season.

Longwood Adds Adam Szwed To Men's Golf Team
FARMVILLE — Coach Kevin Fillman has announced the signing of Adam Szwed to mark the lone addition to the men's golf program in the fall signing period. A Woodbridge native, Szwed attends Woodbridge High where he has been a four-year qualifier for the Virginia High School League (VHSL) state championship.

Prince Edward And Fuqua Spilt 'Battle Of Farmville' Wins
FARMVILLE — It was a packed house in the Prince Edward County Middle School gym on Friday, December 5, as the "Battle of Farmville" games between Fuqua School and Prince Edward County High School took place. The Fuqua varsity girls team set the pace with a quick 54-35 win after the junior varsity games, while the PECHS varsity boys edged the Falcons 54-52 in the last game.
