Who hasn’t searched for just the right recipe for a family gathering or potluck meal? St. James Episcopal Church in Cartersville has gone a step beyond right with their new cookbook, “Righteous Recipes.”
“We hold a first Sunday lunch every month,” stated Barbara Gamage, cookbook editor. “Members often asked for a recipe exchange. With the cookbook the recipes are all there.” Tuesday, May 5, 2015
When I went through the checkout line in the grocery store the other day with a bag of rhubarb the clerk looked puzzled.
“Where did you get he pretty pink celery?” she asked. Rhubarb, or pie plant as we called it in the Midwest, was once a much-anticipated sign of spring. Today’s generation, sad to say, has never hear of it, let alone tasted it. Tuesday, April 21, 2015
