DETENTION COUNSELOR SUPERVISOR— The Piedmont Regional Juvenile
Detention Commission is accepting applications for Detention Counselor
Supervisor. Duties include but not limited to: Supervision of staff, supervision
of youth in the daily living program, implementation of the behavior management
program, provide crisis intervention both physical & mental, enforce and maintain security procedures, and must be able to interpret policies. Ability to create and implement new programs and schedules. Must be able to make independent and sound judgments and work independently, will operate the facility in the absence of the superintendent. Excellent oral & written communication skills req. Provide other tasks and services as necessary for the program. MUST BE available to work any shift, holidays & weekends. Degree in Human Services or related field preferred, or any combination of education, training and at least 2-years of successful supervisory experience managing other people and working in a residential setting working with maladaptive youth.
